The reveal is planned as part of an Xbox showcase that hasn’t been officially announced yet, but is expected this week. We don’t know if the show will include other Xbox first-party news, but the Metro announcement is definitely on the menu.
What’s cool is that this isn’t coming out of nowhere. The developer, 4A Games, has mentioned working on a new Metro game before. What’s new is the name and some leaked gameplay footage that popped up recently, giving us a glimpse of what the game might look like. Fans of the series will likely recognize the blend of survival, horror, and post-apocalyptic tunnel crawling that Metro games have nailed so well.
