Roblox Plus Replaces Premium on April 30 With Creator Payouts and New Player Perks

Roblox is shaking things up with a fresh subscription called Roblox Plus. Launching April 30, it replaces the old Roblox Premium and brings a bunch of new perks for players and creators alike. But it’s not just about discounts and perks – this subscription has a unique twist where creators earn money by getting players to sign up. Let’s break down what this means for everyone involved.

What Roblox Plus Offers Players

Roblox Just Dropped Roblox Plus Subscription

Here’s what comes with Roblox Plus: subscribers get a 10% discount on buying stuff with Robux, and if you stick around for three months, that discount jumps to 20%. That’s pretty sweet if you’re a regular spender. Plus, you get unlimited access to private servers, even for games that usually charge a Robux fee for these. So, no more paying extra just to play with friends privately.

Another neat addition is the ability to send Robux to other players without any transaction fees. But there’s a catch – you have to be 18 or older and pass an age check, and parental approval is needed for younger users. This is Roblox’s way of keeping things safe while letting players gift Robux more easily.

Roblox Plus Introduces Creator Earnings From Subscriptions

Here’s the big news for creators: Roblox Plus lets them earn Robux not just from in-game purchases but also by promoting the subscription itself. If a player subscribes to Roblox Plus through a creator’s game, that creator scores 250 Robux each month for the first three months of that player’s subscription. This is a new way to turn their fan base into steady income.

Roblox even provides a sample script for creators to add subscription prompts inside their games. When players sign up, they get special rewards and can be teleported to exclusive areas. This is a smart move to get more players hooked on Roblox Plus while rewarding the creators who bring them in.

What Players Lose and What Changes From Premium

Roblox Plus doesn’t include the monthly Robux stipend that Premium subscribers have been used to. Also, the 10% Robux bonus on purchasing extra Robux is gone after May 30. Existing Premium subscribers can keep their subscriptions but lose that bonus unless they switch to Roblox Plus or buy optional Robux bundles that will come later.

To balance the loss of fees from private servers (since Roblox Plus subscribers get free access), creators can earn up to 100 Robux for every subscriber who spends 60 or more minutes in their game’s paid private servers over 30 days. But Roblox will only pay for up to five private servers per subscriber, encouraging creators to make games that keep players engaged for longer.

A Bigger Shift in Roblox’s Economy

Roblox summed it up well: “Roblox Plus provides a new path for users who want to get more out of the platform and for creators looking for more ways to earn. This launch is only the beginning.” This means Roblox is not just tweaking a subscription; they’re building a system where creators get rewarded for growing the community, and players get perks that feel meaningful.

If you’re a player who loves private servers or sending Robux to friends, Roblox Plus might be worth checking out. And if you’re a creator, this could open up fresh revenue streams beyond just selling in-game items.
